This month the children are learning what it is like 'Down on the Farm' We have read the story of 'Farmer Duck' and found out how many different jobs there are to do on the farm and how hard Farmers have to work!
The children have also been sharing the story of the Little Red Hen. From this story the children have talked about how important it is to help each other when there are lots of jobs to do. We also made our own bread rolls...they were delicious!
Our roleplay area has been transformed into a farm shop and the children have been enjoying purchasing fruit and vegetables, learning first hand all about money and giving change!
We have been counting and adding up sheep, matching the right numeral to the number and also talking about the different sizes of farm animals.
We enjoyed using the parachute in our outdoor area. We take turns to run underneath it and play
