Planning your child's day

The Angmering Day Nursery has been specifically developed with the needs of young children in mind.

A great deal of planning goes into preparing the areas and creating an interesting, exciting and fun curriculum for the children so the staff can observe the children playing… support them and encourage them to take the next step in the development of their knowledge, understanding and skills.

At the Angmering Day Nursery we encourage the children to make decisions about the activities they wish to participate in.  A wide  range of activities are planned, managed and reviewed each day by the staff to provide a greater challenge, reflecting the ever increasing abilities of the children… a tremendously positive and beneficial learning environment!

Our Shared Aims

We aim to give all our children a sound foundation of emotional, social, physical, creative and intellectual development that can be  built upon during their later stages of childhood and through to adulthood.

We aim to do this through:

• providing a safe and stimulating environment in which children can feel happy, safe and secure
• encouraging positive attitudes toward themselves and others, and developing confidence and self-esteem
• providing opportunities to stimulate interest and imagination
• creating opportunities for play that is both adult and child led, encouraging children to question and apply their learning
• encouraging children to explore, appreciate and respect their environment
