Feeling Safe and Secure…
 Your child’s safety at all times within the Nursery is of course of paramount importance to us. You as parents have entrusted your child with us and we wish you to feel confident that your child has the best possible care during their time with us. We have a stringent Health and Safety Policy that is available to parents on request and is strictly monitored by Management and adhered to by staff. As a result of our staffing ratio at 50% over what OFSTED require, we have a very low accident incidence.
As part of the registration process to the Nursery, parents are required to give the names and photos of adults who are permitted to collect their child from Nursery. The child will not be released to any other person under any circumstances. The Nursery environment is completely enclosed and doors and gates are secured so that no child is able to leave the Nursery without an adult.
We are fully covered with Fire Alarms although it should be noted that there are minimum ignition points in our carefully designed building and we carry out a weekly fire alarm drill which the children all get involved with. Our emergency box full of provisions, activities and first aid equipment is checked weekly to ensure it is prepared for any emergency. We have a designated safety point for the unlikely need to evacuate the premises.
Security Matters…
All staff have had an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check
- The Nursery has an on site security presence monitoring all visitors., deliveries and all perimeters.
- All Gates & Fences secured using child – proof locks
- Adult areas only accessible via digilock
- Separate delivery / visitor entrance
Safety First…
All Staff First Aid / Paediatric First Aid Qualified.
- Wet Play areas / Bathrooms all have anti slip flooring
- Radiators are appropriately covered to prevent burning. Temperature controlled taps
- State of the Art Fire Alarm Systems
- Fire extinguishers and First Aid equipment exceeding statutory requirements by a factor of two.
- No power sockets are accessible within the nursery all powered items are fused locally.
- All equipment/ toys go through a regular cycle of cleaning & disinfecting to ensure cleanliness at all times.
- All toys, furniture and equipment meet current safety standards and are of the highest quality available.
- Any toys or equipment that have been broken are discarded
- Ample Car Parking on or near the Nursery
