At the Angmering Day Nursery, we insist your children have the best of everything and that includes our Staff. We have 50% more staff than OFSTED require us to as a matter of policy to ensure that the children in our care have more support and time from them. This allows us to work in smaller groups and ensure your children get all the care and attention they need.
All staff are full time, working four and a half days a week, so you are collecting your children from the same staff who received them from you.
Care at the Angmering Day Nursery is a continuous operation providing children in our care and their Parents with the same point of contact via the "Key Person" system. Your Key person in the Nursery will get to know you and your children and provide constant feedback and support to you regarding their development, care and education in the Nursery.
All of our practitioners are qualified to a Minimum of NVQ level 3 as our minimum employment qualification. (This is a supervisors level of qualification although some of our staff are more qualified) and all of them are further trained and qualified in the following :-
- Pediatric First Aid - All staff are able to administer and provide first aid in any situation and our policy of over supply means they are never more than one room width from a first aid kit.
- Food Hygiene - Our food is safely cooked and prepared from organic fresh ingredients by our Practitioners every day so hygiene is vital. We also train and cater for a wide range of dietary needs and preferences.
- Child Protection - Ensuring all children in our care are safeguarded to the highest possible standards in all aspects of their lives.
Each one of our qualified Practitioners takes on a further role of Special Responsibility within the Nursery for which they act as liason to the Management, Parents and Children
